Pockets are a necessity, especially when you’re a young girl. Between school, extracurricular activities, and hanging out with friends, not to mention the occasional school dance, it can be a challenge to make sure you’ve got everything you need for the day. Typically, this responsibility lies with purses and backpacks, or even a combination of the two. But what if this physical burden could be eased with just a simple outfit change? This is where pockets become a girl’s new best friend.
It’s Got Pocket is a S/S 2019 contemporary junior’s collection aimed at solving the lack of pockets, or those of a practical size and/or nature, by reimagining their size, shape, and purpose. This provides additional functionality because pockets provide security, eliminate need for storage via accessories, and provide more freedom in daily life as a result. In the designs, this translates to oversize pockets that become almost an entire garment like an accessory, pockets hidden for safety beneath layers or in seams, detailed pockets emphasized with hand-sewn lace applique, and much more. This collection is all about pockets, of course, but also fun and unique details that match the vivacious and bold palette, and overall energy of the collection.
